Feedback would be appreciated

I have now started painting my little clown but I am afraid that it is coming across more creepy than cute. I have since painted the base and added rick-rack to his hat and ruffles but I still need to add the detailed print to his suit. Also, after painting it, his little jack-o-lantern will be held in his hand. Any ideas? Should I mute it with a stain?

Malinda, it looks SO cute! I can't see any creepiness at all. Seriously. I think it looks just like Mason! And the jack-o-lantern looks just like the real thing. I can't wait to see it all painted with the details. I think a light stain/wash would look nice, since it's a vintage costume, and Mason has that cute, vintage, All-American boy look. Keep up the great work, and keep posting updates! You're amazingly talented.

I agree, it doesn't look creepy at all. So cute. I'm sure it would look good with a stain on it. I'm excited to see the finished product.

Malinda,

I only had to see the picture to tell that your sculpture was of Mason - you have such a talent! I can't wait to see your stuff back on etsy. You were one of my inspirations to finally take the leap. I hope all is well with your little family!
